The children in Years 1 – 6 follow a programme of study that ensures a full coverage of the National Curriculum.
The subjects are as follows:
- English (Reading, Writing & Speaking/Listening)
- Art and Design
- Design and Technology
- Citizenship/Rights Respecting School
We ensure that all children have access to a broad and balanced curriculum and a range of extra-curricular Clubs and Activities. We pride ourselves on the progress and achievement of our children and all pupils are regularly assessed and any learning “gaps” identified; early identification and intervention enable mean that children receive the best possible opportunity to achieve. Children all have daily Mathematics and English lessons; in KS1 all children take part in daily phonics (Letters and Sounds/Phonics Play).
Junction Farm Primary School places great emphasis on Maths, Reading and Writing as these are key skills that allow children to access all other areas of learning.
