Film Club

At Junction Farm Primary, we aim to provide a range of varied after-school clubs. Film club is currently open to Key Stage 1 children. We enjoy getting together, one evening each week after school, to enjoy a range of interesting and entertaining films. Our current favourites are ‘Despicable Me 2’ and ‘The Tale of Despereaux’.

Phonics Club

Phonics Club is ran by Miss Barron on a Tuesday afterschool from 3:15-4:00 and is available for Year 1 children.

The club aims to support children’s knowledge of letters and sounds as well as support their reading skills. The club consist of fun and engaging games both indoors and in the outside areas.

Choir

The Choir is run on a Thursday lunch time by Mr. Dunn. We all look forward to getting together each week, to sing a range of songs.

We perform in Assemblies and have performed in the Mayors Christmas Concert and around the Christmas tree at Eaglescliffe.

Sprinting Club

Sprinting Club is on every Tuesday night 3:15-4:15. This club is ran by Miss Norton and will be on the school field using the track. Sprinting club is for children who want to run quicker times by working on technique and challenging themselves. With athletics season quickly approaching us those children who are wanting to make the team I would strongly suggest you join this club.

Gymnastics at Junction Farm

In gymnastics club the children will learn different gymnastic agility, balance and co-ordination. It will help increase their confidence in themselves and in a sport that requires strength and flexibility. We have lots of fun creating different gymnastics shapes, learning forwards rolls, cartwheels, handstands and practicing balances.
