We currently have two vacancies:

Post: Teaching Assistant Level 2 (SCP 7-8)

£6643.73 per annum (actual salary) 15 hours per week Term Time only

Temporary Fixed term Contract until 31/8/2020

We strive to ensure that our school environment is attractive, welcoming, safe, secure and conducive to learning. The school environment is of real importance and its maintenance and development is the concern of all involved in the school with both children and staff encouraged to take a pride in their surroundings.

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant – with experience of working with children who have autism and communication and interaction difficulties. The role will be based in the reception class working 3 hours per day in the afternoon supporting individual pupils and the wider classroom.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Experience of working in an educational provision and ideally relevant qualifications in Learning Support and Autism Awareness.
  • A calm, understanding and friendly personality
  • The ability to manage behaviour and help students focus on any given task, encouraging pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
  • A professional, nurturing and resilient approach.
  • Commitment and dependability within the workplace with ability to use your own initiative.
  • An understanding of Autism.
  • The confidence to address conflict and challenging behaviour, once trained.
  • The willingness to work flexibly and constructively as part of a team, providing day to day classroom support to the children and assisting with pupil behaviour as and if required in a supportive manner.
  • The ability to establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.
  • The capability to work with Teachers and the SENCO to ensure progress and development.

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant – with experience of working with children in the early years foundation stage. The role will be based within the nursery working 4 hours per day in the morning supporting the Teacher to manage both individual pupils and the wider class.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Experience of working in an educational provision and ideally relevant qualifications in Early Years.
  • A calm, understanding and friendly personality
  • The ability to manage behaviour and help students focus on any given task, encouraging pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
  • A professional, nurturing and resilient approach.
  • Commitment and dependability within the workplace with ability to use your own initiative.
  • An understanding of the National Curriculum expectations
  • The confidence to address conflict and challenging behaviour, once trained.
  • The willingness to work flexibly and constructively as part of a team, providing day to day classroom support to the children and assisting with pupil behaviour as and if required in a supportive manner.
  • The awareness of Team Teach training would be desirable.
  • The ability to establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.
  • The ability to helping plan lessons by preparing materials and resources.
