Year 5: Boggle Hole

Year 5: Boggle Hole

15th July – 17th July

As you are aware our Outdoor Education is very important to us. After the previous year’s successful Y5 trip we have decided that next year our Y5 children will spend 2 nights/3 days on the coast at Boggle Hole.

We have provisionally booked Boggle Hole Youth Hostel which is 2 miles south of Robin Hoods Bay in its own cove directly on the coast. We have the exclusive use of the main building during our stay. The children will take part in educational activities on the beach and the surrounding area, visiting Robin Hoods Bay and Ravenscar. The YHA will organise and lead the activities, Junction Farm staff will supervise each group of children over the 3 days.

We will be leaving school on Monday 15th July and will return by 3.15pm on Wednesday 17th July 2019. The children will receive a cooked breakfast, packed lunch and hot evening meal each day. The cost of food, transport and accommodation is included in the total cost of £160 per child.

Please have a look at the website www.yha.org.uk/hostel/boggle-hole. A 10% deposit will be required through Parent Mail once you have confirmed your interest to allow us to set up a payment account for this trip. The cost for Pupil Premium children will a non-refundable 10% deposit. Please complete and return the reply slip below no later than Monday 24th September.

Please contact me if your child is entitled to free school meals or is Pupil Premium as this will reduce the cost of your child’s trip.

If you would like to discuss this any further don’t hesitate to contact me, parents and carers comments are always appreciated.

Thank you

Mrs Hardy
