Year 5: Boggle Hole
As you are aware our Outdoor Education is very important to us. After last year’s successful Y5 trip we have decided that next year our Y5 children will spend 2 nights/3 days on the coast at Boggle Hole.
We have provisionally booked Boggle Hole Youth Hostel which is 2 miles south of Robin Hoods Bay in its own cove directly on the coast. We have the exclusive use of the main building during our stay. The children will take part in educational activities on the beach and the surrounding area, visiting Robin Hoods Bay and Ravenscar. The YHA will organise and lead the activities, Junction Farm staff will supervise each group of children over the 3 days.
We will be leaving school on Monday 17th July and will return by 3.15pm on Wednesday 19th July 2017. The children will receive a cooked breakfast, packed lunch and hot evening meal each day (will need own packed lunch on first day). The cost of food, transport and accommodation is included in the total cost of £150 per child. We require an initial deposit of £30 by Monday 26th September. Then 3 payments of £40 (by 14th November, 12th February and 7th April).
Please have a look at the website, Boggle Hole Youth Hostel has recently been renovated by its owners and really impressed us on our visit last year.
Please contact me if your child is entitled to free school meals as this will reduce the cost of your child’s trip.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.
